Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let’s get on with the review!
When I saw this advent calendar, I initially thought, no, I can’t afford that, it’s too expensive. At £99 (for non-subscribers) it was just a little bit too much for me to justify spending. However, when I realised that you could get it for £75 if you were a subscriber, I quickly signed up!
If you don’t know what Glossybox is (have you been living under a rock?!), you pay £10 each month (and delivery which is £3.95) and a beauty box gets delivered to your house with 5 goodies in it. These can range from skincare, makeup and hair care and there is usually at least 1 or 2 full sized products in it. The box is always worth at least twice as much than what you pay – BARGAIN!
I’ve considered signing up to Glossybox before but something always stopped me. I was subscribed to Birchbox a couple of years ago and wasn’t bothered about that. To be honest, I thought they would all be the same! But all the hype around Glossybox and the reduced advent calendar convinced me to subscribe. I will definitely be keeping up my subscription for the foreseeable future. I love getting a range of new products each month, without spending a fortune and I’m discovering some really great brands to try! It is perfect for anyone who is obsessed with anything beauty related.
All I Want for Christmas Advent Calendar
Anyway, onto the Advent Calendar… now obviously I haven’t opened ALL the boxes, only the boxes up to now. But, let me tell you, there was not been one that I don’t like yet.
The box itself is absolutely beautiful. If I can find a use for it after Christmas, I definitely will. It has shelves inside for all the boxes to sit on, which means they actually stay in place as you take them out each day.
The products that I have got so far are just as exciting! I’ve had a NARS lipstick, a lip primer, a Yankee candle, an MUA eyeshadow palette, skincare, haircare and that’s just to name a few!
I’m so excited to open the remaining boxes, especially day 25 because I hear there may be a Huda Beauty palette!! That’s probably worth nearly the same as the whole advent calendar!
To say this calendar is worth over £300 and I only paid £75 is absolutely incredible. If you want to try a beauty advent calendar next year, I definitely recommend trying the GlossyBox one – hopefully they do another one!!
As someone who hasn’t had an advent calendar in years (my Mum is clearly Scrooge), I have thoroughly enjoyed having something to open every morning! I could go as far as saying it’s better than chocolate! Did I actually just say that?!
There is going to be a GlossyBox December unboxing on the blog next Thursday, so watch this space!
Have you had a beauty advent calendar this year? If you did, which one did you get? Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time,
