Hi everyone! This week I was invited to my first blogging event!! The lovely Laura from Laura Knows Lifestyle is an Origins Ambassador and invited me to go to her event in York. With this being the first event I’ve been invited too, I was so excited for it! We were also allowed to take a plus one so I took my cousin, Laura, who was just as excited as I was, and became my little photographer for the night.
When we arrived, Laura greeted us with an array of delicious watermelon martinis which my cousin and I were more than happy to drink! Once everyone had arrived, Laura thanked everyone for coming, and explained a little more about Origins and the event, we were celebrating the end of dry January, and also putting an end to dry skin – if you’ve read previous posts of mine, you’ll know that dry skin is something I really struggle with, especially at this time of year. We were also told before we came to come barefaced for a mini facial, or if we preferred, a hand treatment – my cousin and I both opted for the facial.
Laura then went on to talk about the range that was going to be used in the facial, which is the Make a Difference plus+ range (picture below) and told us about the set they had put together.
The facial itself felt so refreshing, and all the products smelt amazing! To be honest, I can’t remember exactly which products she used and in what order but whatever it was, it made my skin feel so soft and hydrated for the rest of the week! It has helped that I wasn’t wearing makeup for most of this week, but I definitely think that the facial helped improve the condition of my skin.
While my cousin and I were looking at the range of face masks, one of the lovely Origins girls, Hannah, came over and gave us both some advice on what face masks would be best for our skin types. She gave Laura two samples (I can’t remember which ones!) and I took one sample of the Overnight Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst. I actually tried this last week and it worked like a dream! Although, I do think the facial just a couple of days before helped!
At the end of the night, I decided to buy the set they had put together, it was £114 worth of products for only £45, I couldn’t resist! I love my skincare, and I love trying out new products so this was the perfect opportunity to try a range of new products for a fraction of the price. These were also the products used in the facial, but apart from that, I haven’t used any of the products yet, so I will probably do a full review in a couple of months. Until then, here is a glimpse of the products that came in the set.
We were also all given a little Origins goodie bag, with some more samples and a little bag of watermelon sweets, which were delicious by the way!
So that’s it for this post, as I said before, I’ll hopefully do a full review on the Origins products once I’ve given them a good go, and maybe one or two might end up in my skincare routine. I really enjoyed this event and I really appreciate Laura inviting me along! Thank you so much to both Laura and the lovely girls in Origins for making me feel so welcome and pampered!
Have you ever tried any Origins products?
What did you think of them?
Would you ever try them if you haven’t already?
Until next time,
