Beauty Haul

I haven’t done a beauty blog post since last year when I did my Skincare Routine  so I thought it was time that I did another! It is no secret that I love makeup, and over the past year or so my collection has steadily grown and I’m pleased to say that I now have a selection of different products that I absolutely love, which is what I’m going to show you now!

These products are my go-to favourites and are products that I would almost definitely buy a second (or third!) time. So let’s get going!

Eyes

This eyeshadow palette actually came in the Estee Lauder gift set that my Mum bought before Christmas but she wasn’t keen on the colours in it so decided to give it to me… and it was the best decision she ever made! I absolutely love this palette and it is now my go-to palette for eyeshadows. The colours are just so beautiful and brilliant quality; I really cannot fault it at all. On top of the eyeshadow, the palette also has a highlighter, blusher and a bronzer and although I don’t use blusher myself, I use the other two a lot as they are just gorgeous too!

The brush I use for my eyes is the BareMinerals Quick Color & Crease brush, which you can see in the picture and this brush is brilliant for applying shadow and also blending.

These two products together are just perfect for my eyes!

Brows

I’m quite new to the Benefit eyebrow collection but so far, I absolutely love it! I have the Gimme Brow in number 1, and the Ready, Set Brow and I use both almost every single time I do my brows now! Other products I use for my brows are the BareMinerals pencil and powder and I tend to just use a combination of all the products now to achieve the best look!

Foundation

I really struggle with foundation but I finally feel like I have the right products for my skin now. For everyday use, I use the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue in the colour Opal 01. This is a “tinted hydrating gel cream” and gives instant but light coverage and is perfect for through the day! For fuller coverage foundation I’m using the Clinique Even Better foundation which I absolutely love as it applies so easily and you really don’t need  a lot to get good coverage on your skin.

Just a few weeks ago I bought this Real Techniques sponge which applies all my foundation and concealer so easily now and to be honest, I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without using it! I use it almost everyday now and I will definitely be buying another one after this one!

Birchbox | February

I am new to Birchbox but I thought I would add this to my list as so far I am loving it! My housemate told me about this and I thought, why not, let’s give it a go! So for £12.95 (including shipping) a month I now get a box full of beauty goodies which are tailored to my beauty needs/wants. This month (which was my first) I got a conditioning spray for my hair, a face mask, a lip gloss, an eyeshadow palette, a Spectrum eyeshadow brush and a makeup remover, all in a gorgeous little box. I would definitely recommend looking into this as it is such a great way to find and try new products that you wouldn’t have come across otherwise!

I haven’t yet used any of these product yet but they all look amazing and I’m really excited to try these and see what the next few boxes bring!

So there is my little beauty haul! I hope you enjoyed seeing what products I am using and loving at the moment and would love to get some feedback on this post! I don’t usually do these types of post but I have enjoyed doing this one so much, I would love to do some more! If it’s something that you’ve liked and you would like me to do similar posts in the future, please do let me know!

What beauty products are you loving at the moment?

  1. I really liked this post! Your photos were lovely. I always like haul posts: I love to see what works for people.

A haul post from me would be very short, as I don’t wear any makeup. I have a kid and two jobs and chronic illness, and makeup just isn’t a priority for me.
