How My Blog Began
I began my blog back in September 2015; I had just started Uni (for the second time) having had a year off to focus solely on my health. I created it initially to document my ups and downs with life and illness as a student, and I do still do that, but in January last year, I suddenly get into a lot more and began posting more, interacting more with other bloggers, and just enjoying it more generally!
Some Advice for New Bloggers
- Don’t pressure yourself!
I only posted all of about 4-5 times when I first started this blog, and since then there have been times where I’ve completely lacked inspiration, or I’ve been too busy and it’s had to take a backseat. But the more I pressured myself to blog, the less I would want to. If you’re feeling uninspired, just leave it alone for a bit and believe me, you will come back with even more motivation and love for your blog!
- Take time to read other blogs!
This is something that really helped me with my blog; not only did it help to get to know the blogging community, it helped you to make your blog better. By reading other people’s blogs, you’re able to keep an open mind, stay inspired and motivated, and most of all, you won’t get bored. There are SO MANY blogs and bloggers out there, take a couple of hours to go and find some that you like and connect with and you will not regret it! Some great ways to find other bloggers are by using Bloglovin’, Pinterest and Twitter.
