Blog Updates

Hello everyone! This is just a quick blog post really to tell you all that I have changed my site address! This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now, especially since the .blog was launched a couple of months ago, and since I saw that I just loved it. So my new address is…
There are a few different reasons why I have decided to change my site address now, but mainly because I feel like I want to take my blog more seriously and I want a more concise, easier to remember name for my blog. Before, it was long-winded and awkward and difficult to remember as it had added numbers in it, but now it is definitely my own little space on the internet and I absolutely love it.
I opted for the .blog ending rather than the .com ending because the latter wasn’t available for the name of my blog, and I really didn’t want to change the wording or name of my blog. I spent a long time trying to think of something to call this blog, and I really feel like this name represents me and my content nicely because my blog isn’t just about living with ME (/CFS) but also about me, as a person, living life as everybody else. To change that now didn’t feel right, so keeping the name of my blog the same was really important to me. So I went for the .blog ending; it’s new and exciting, and I haven’t seen that many people use it which means it’s different as well. And I do love to be different! It also means that new visitors know exactly what they’re getting when they come to my site – a blog about living with ME!

Some people may think this is a risk to go for .blog, but nobody ever got anywhere in life without taking a few risks. I certainly don’t take enough risks, but I feel confident that this blog name will serve me well – it’s definitely better than the old one! I was actually advised by the lovely chronic illness bloggers to avoid the .blog ending completely and to try and stick to the .com ending because that’s what everyone would naturally think to put, but after really thinking about it, my gut told me to take a risk and go with .blog. So thank you all so much for your advice and support, I do massively appreciate it but I hope you can all support my decision too!
Finally, I have so much support from my lovely friends and my parents who all said that it was a great idea and that I should go for it, so I did!
That’s all from me today; just a quick update about my blog, and hopefully you will all love my new site address as much as I do!
Until next time,
