Weight Loss and Weight Watchers
Hey everyone! Today I’m going to be talking about weight loss, and more specifically, about weight watchers.
I started doing weight watchers online back in July and honestly, starting this plan was the best decision I ever made. I am now at my lowest weight since I first started trying to lose weight nearly two years ago, and I’m still motivated to carry on! Don’t get me wrong, I still have a long way to go, but I finally feel like it’s happening and I definitely feel like weight watchers has made a big difference in my journey.
So in this post I’m going to share a few things that I love about weight watchers, and also share a few things which I’ve learnt throughout my weight loss journey.
Don’t give up!
This is so important because too many people give up in the first couple of months, even weeks, of trying to lose weight because they don’t see results and they lose their motivation for it.
Luckily, I didn’t. Nearly two years on, I am still struggling to lose weight, and yes, I have had times where I’ve just not bothered and I’ve completely lost motivation for it, but I’ve always come back from that and kept on going.
Remember, it doesn’t matter how long it takes, what matters is that you are healthy and happy.
Don’t just concentrate on your food.
Exercise is so important for weight loss and even though you can’t out-train a bad diet, exercise and healthy eating really should be done together. Even if you just try to walk more, that will help get your body moving and you will hopefully see results faster because of it!
Consider joining a weight loss plan.
As I said before, doing weight watchers online has been a game changer for me. Without it, I would still probably be stuck at that stubborn weight I’d been at for the past year and I would definitely be struggling with motivation and probably wouldn’t be where I am now.
Allow yourself to enjoy treats.
If you don’t allow yourself treats, you’re only going to end up wanting them more! Don’t deny yourself anything, but at the same time, don’t let one treat take you completely off track (I’m guilty of this all the time!).
Don’t let one bad day ruin a good week.
Another one which I’m really bad at. If I have a couple of days which aren’t the best, I am much more likely to give up for the rest of the week.
I recently read a tip somewhere that suggested taking your day in quarters – if you mess up for breakfast, get back on track for lunch and so on. I would always just wait until the next day or the next week but actually, I should just accept that bad meal and get back on track on the very next one!
So there are my top 5 tips for weight loss! These are made a lot easier with a plan like weight watchers, especially having treats and getting back on track because by using the smart points system, you can very quickly find out if you can afford to have a treat that week or not! Each day is a new day as well and if you mess up one day, you can use your weekly points, and if you do well one day, you simply stay within your daily points!
Incorporating fitness and exercise into your weight loss journey is made a lot easier with weight watchers too with the fit points feature! If you are able to track your steps, they give you fit points and any exercise you do, you can add that too!
