Hello everybody! Happy September! As you can see from the title, this is a bit of a general post, catching up on what I’ve been doing with myself while I’ve been absent from blogging!
I decided half way through August that I was going to take the month off from blogging, mainly because I’d had a busy couple of weeks at the end of July/beginning of August. I was getting myself stressed and anxious about a scan I was having for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which thankfully came back all clear! Other than that I was mainly just working and trying to eat well in preparation for my fabulous holiday!
My holiday consisted of two beautiful weeks in Majorca! Having never been there before, I found the views absolutely incredible, the food and drink delicious, and the weather just perfect. I went with Angus (my boyfriend) and his family and we really did have the best time; I can’t tell you how grateful to them for inviting me along on their holiday!
I’m not going to talk too much about Majorca though because to me, pictures speak louder than words. But what I will say is, over the two weeks I was away, I only had ONE day where I really struggled to get out of bed, and even on that day, I still managed to come downstairs once or twice, so that, to me, is a MASSIVE win!
I also turned 21 while we were over there! We had a lovely chilled day in the sun, where Angus made me get in the ‘plunge’ pool… for anyone who doesn’t know what that is, it’s a FREEZING COLD pool of water (no bigger than a hot tub) which you get into, for some bizarre reason which I still do not understand!! I lasted no longer than 5 seconds, and even that was too long!
In the evening we went for a lovely meal with drinks and cocktails to start with and got a little bit tipsy! When I got home that weekend, I had a few lovely surprises (including this gorgeous cake!) from my family and we celebrated with even more prosecco on the Sunday with a few of my friends and a lot more of Mum and Dad’s friends!
I am currently in York having just moved out of my old student accommodation and into my new shared house! It’s been another stressful week as plans were being changed last minute left, right and centre! But it doesn’t matter now, because I’m in the new house and I just have one trip left to do back home to get the last of my things and then I’ll be all settled next weekend, ready to start the new year at Uni!
As for blogging… I’m planning to do a blog post every Sunday, and the odd Wednesday/Thursday, so keep your eyes peeled for hopefully more regular blog posts!
As always, I would love to hear from you so please comment below with your thoughts and feel free to connect with me on social media!
Have you done anything special over the summer?
What have you got planned for September?
