Hey guys! In this post I will be running through my exercise routine with 11 exercises you can do at home! If I can’t get to the gym but feel like I need to do something these are some the exercises I do!
This was originally put together by my instructor about a year ago when I first started doing exercise so it is perfect for beginners but if you’re more advanced it will also be perfect for a quick workout like I use it for now!
When I first starting doing this at home it was a real challenge, and to be honest, it still is! But depending on what I want out of the session I can customise it to suit that day – if I have time for a longer workout I add more reps on but if it needs to be a quick workout I can just take out some of the exercises.
Also the great thing about working out at home is that you can do it while watching TV or at least in the adverts! You can also it at any time of day – my Mum and I have done it after having a glass of wine (or two!) in the living room with some music on and it was great fun!
So let’s take a look at it!
20 step-ups – you can use any step you have!
20 high knees (10 each leg)
20 punches (10 each arm)
20 jumping jacks
20 V-steps (with squat)
20 triple crunches
20 leg extensions (10 each leg)
30 – 45 second plank (low)
30 – 45 second plank (high)
And that’s it! All of these exercises I love doing (not that I did when I started!) and I hope you do too!
I recommend you take a 30 sec break in-between sets and 1 min break in-between each section. Also, I definitely advise that you begin your workout with a good warm up and end it with a cool down!
